Shepherd Insurance was founded in 1977 by Dave Shepherd, who, with the encouragement of his father, Bill Shepherd, began selling life insurance shortly after graduating from the University of Mississippi. Over the years, the agency expanded to provide personal, business, employee benefits, and financial services solutions while welcoming more than 60 agencies into the Shepherd family.
In 2020, Dave’s son, Quinn Shepherd, assumed leadership as CEO and Managing Partner, guiding the company through a period of significant growth and innovation. Today, Shepherd Insurance is one of the Top 50 largest independent insurance agencies in the United States, serving clients across the country and generating more than $135 million in annual revenue.
